FAQ

How is Home Advantage different to other investment services?
Home Advantage is focused on making access to quality financial advice easy. With a holistic approach, our team of top professionals can look at all areas of your finances and work with you to create a custom financial plan which . However, we do not stop there – we continue our collaborative approach by reviewing your progress with you on a regular basis and making agreed upon changes as required.

What happens at my in-home consultation?
As with any journey, taking the first step is always the hardest which is why we have designed our process to be as smooth, pressure-free and professional as possible.

At your first meeting, your in-home Consultant will meet with you to introduce themselves and discuss your current lifestyle and goals for retirement. Once we have an idea of your goals and hopes for retirement we can work backwards and begin to develop a realistic plan for helping you turn your dreams into reality.

What personal information will you need?
In order for Home Advantage to develop a plan that is unique to you and your situation, we will need to gather extra financial information from you such as your income and expenditure, and your assets and liabilities. From here, your Consultant will work with an Authorised Financial Adviser and various professionals to evaluate and develop an expert recommendation, or rather, a roadmap to financial freedom.
How long will it take you to build my Personalised Financial Plan?
The next step involves meeting with you again to present and review your retirement plan to ensure that you are happy with the proposed plan of action. We aim to meet with you to present your plan within two weeks from our very first meeting.
What happens after you have presented my Personalised Financial Plan?
Once you have decided which of our recommendations you would like to proceed with, we will agree upon a time-frame. From here, your Consultant and dedicated Financial Adviser will work with you closely to implement your plan and regularly check in with you to ensure that you are on track to meet your short, medium and long-term goals – because at Home Advantage, we believe in creating long term relationships with all our clients and helping them achieve the retirement they deserve.
What qualification will my Financial Adviser have?
Your Financial Plan and subsequent recommendations will be developed by an Authorised Financial Adviser (AFA) with relevant industry experience.

All AFA’s must meet eligibility requirements set by the Financial Markets Authority and must also be listed on the Financial Providers Register.
