FAQ

Does Home Advantage offer a financial planning service?
Home Advantage does not directly offer a financial planning service. However, Home Advantage is focused on making access to quality financial advice easy which is why we have aligned with top financial service providers.

What happens at my in-home consultation?
As with any journey, taking the first step is always the hardest which is why we have designed our process to be as smooth, pressure-free and professional as possible.

At your first meeting, your in-home Consultant will meet with you to introduce themselves and discuss your current lifestyle and goals for retirement. Once we have an idea of your goals and hopes for retirement we can establish the best way to work with you, and our panel experts to develop a realistic plan for helping you turn your dreams into reality.

What personal information will you need?
In order for Home Advantage to develop an action plan that is unique to you and your situation, we will need to gather extra information from you such as your income and expenditure, and your assets and liabilities. From here, your Consultant will work with an Authorised Financial Adviser and various professionals to evaluate and develop an expert recommendation, or rather, a roadmap to financial freedom.
How long will it take you to build my Personalised Financial Plan?
The next step involves meeting with you again to present and review your retirement plan to ensure that you are happy with the proposed plan of action. An expert will aim to meet with you to present your plan within two weeks from your first meeting.
What happens after my Personalised Financial Plan has been presented?
Once you have decided which of the recommendations you would like to proceed with, a time-frame will be agreed upon. From here, your Consultant and dedicated Financial Adviser will work with you closely to implement your plan and regularly check in with you to ensure that you are on track to meet your short, medium and long-term goals – because at Home Advantage, we believe in creating long term relationships with all our clients so they can achieve the retirement they deserve.
What qualification will my Financial Adviser have?
Your Financial Plan and subsequent recommendations will be developed by an Authorised Financial Adviser (AFA) with relevant industry experience.

All AFA’s must meet eligibility requirements set by the Financial Markets Authority and must also be listed on the Financial Providers Register.
